Quite Successful Weekly Wishes

I am beyond happy that I linked up with Weekly Wishes last week! Not only did it make me think about what I wanted to do for the week and set some goals, but I felt accountable to my next Monday post to get those things done (especially since there wasn’t a ton of stuff to “do”).   So let’s jump on this productive train again, ‘cause who doesn’t like getting things done??

What did we want to do last week?

Get a little more positive about this hardship tour and write a post about surviving it.
Well the post I definitely accomplished, you can read it here.  It felt great to get some of that out there and I hope it can help others who are facing a deployment/tour in their future get prepped for what is to come. I’m also feeling a little more at peace this week with the whole tour thing. I mean, now  that I have something keeping me busy pretty much every minute of the day, time is moving super fly fast, so it’s getting easier to imagine a mid-tour leave, or a trip to Asia, or the year being over! Pretty exciting stuff!

And of course I jumped on Pinterest and found some inspirational photos from WWII couples.  If they can make it, so can FM and I.

Start rocking at my job
Well I can’t give you the deets on what I’m doing because of the nature of the job, which you can read about here because I totally finished that post too, GO ME, but I will say this, I’ve got quite a few irons in the fire at work, and I’m well ahead of where I thought I would be only three weeks in! I just can’t wait to start teaching programs and seeing the hard work in action!

So what do I want to do this week…

I want to do something Fall related
It is getting quite beautifully autumn here, and I am embracing every minute of the weather change.  I want to do something totally fall this week, like get some apple cider and build a fire outside and wear a big sweater at night!

I want to set up sponsorships for the blog
I know that’s where it’s at, and I need to get on it. Plus, there’s a ton of bloggers I’d love to have featured on the sidebar of my little slice of internet, and I know I’d love to be on theirs, even if it’s just a button swap deal! Look out for sponsorships starting this week, who wants in??

Grab the button and I'll happy put yours up too!

I need to be better about scheduling posts
I promised myself when I started working I would start scheduling posts in advance so my weeknights  weren’t so nutty. Yeah, well, I didn’t, and now I scramble on weeknights to get everything just perfect for the next day and then I’m dead tired and look like some sort of red eyed raving maniac that sits up in her lair until the wee hours poking around her computer to get pictures to be all bedazzled.  Not cool!  Must pre-write, pre-edit, and pre-post.  MUST!

And I’m going to leave it there for this week because realistically, I’m not sure how much I can topple on to the already leaning tower of tasks!

Have a great Monday!
